So Peaceful

Kade decided to take a little snooze on Daddy's lap. He just looks so peaceful when he's sleeping!

Kade is One Month Old!

Kade turned one month old on Saturday, October 28. We were visiting his grandma in Oklahoma City over the weekend, and this is a picture of his first bath at grandma's.

My Two Boys!

Daddy had to babysit by himself this morning while I went to the eye doctor. Here is how I found them when I got home! Looks like Daddy did a good job!
Here Daddy and Kade are sharing a good morning kiss!
It looks like I have two pretty happy boys!

Wide Eyed!

Here is my precious boy sitting in his daddy's lap. When Kade is wide awake in the evenings, he likes to lay on Daddy's lap and stare up at him. Daddy plays with Kade and does his baby exercises with him. Kade loves this!

Out To Eat!

This evening we went out to eat for the first time with Kade. We went to Chili's. Uncle Bryan came too! Kade seemed to enjoy himself just fine! He did what he does best during the day, sleep. He hasn't quite figured out how to do the sleep thing at night yet. We're hoping he figures that out soon!

First Doctors Appointment

Today was Kade's first doctors appointment. It was his 2 week checkup, although he is almost 3 weeks old. I can't even believe it! He weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and measured 20 1/4 inches. So he has already gained 1 lb. and grown 1 inch. He is growing so fast! He was a very good boy today. His doctor checked him and said he is in perfect health. She had to take his diaper off for a second, and I was afraid he was going to pee on her. He didn't though. He waited until I put his diaper part way on, and then peed. It went all over the table and his blanket. So I had a big mess to clean up. Then before I could get a clean diaper on him, he peed again! I couldn't believe he did it twice! But his doctor was very nice, and she helped me clean him up. We go back again in 6 weeks for his next checkup. I'm so thankful that he is such a healthy boy!

Visiting with Grandmas!

Grandma Vicky came for a visit Saturday. She brought Kade a new bib!
Here is Kade Tuesday after a trip to Grandma Carolyn's house. He was a little worn out!

New Bouncy Chair!

Here Kade is enjoying his new bouncy chair from Aunt Holly. It vibrates, plays music, and has a mobile. He really likes his chair a lot! And as you can see, it worked it's magic real quick. He was asleep within just a few minutes.

Escape Artist!

Kade decided that he would try to get out of his little bassinet already!

Proud Grandmas!

Kade is Jake's mom's first grandchild. She is very proud of him! Carolyn has been a big help to us. She usually checks on us everyday. She'll come over and help around the house and bring us food. Her favorite job is holding and feeding Kade!

Kade is my mom's first grandchild also. As you can see, she is a very proud grandma too!! My mom came to the hospital on Thursday and was in the delivery room with Jake and me when Kade was born. She was a big help! She was able to stay in Fort Gibson until Tuesday evening. She stayed at our house and waited on me and cleaned my house. She also held Kade a lot! Kade can't wait until she comes back to visit again!

Welcome Kade!

Kade Andrew Keeling is here! Kade was born Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 10:35 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 1/4 inches long. He was 2 weeks and 1 day early. My due date was October 13, but I was glad to get him here early!

I went in for a routine appointment on Thursday morning at 10:00. While I was in the doctors office my water broke. I asked the midwife if I needed to call my husband, and she said "Well, you're going to have a baby today." I was in shock! I couldn't believe he was going to be born today. So they sent me on upstairs to labor and delivery, and I was admitted at 11:30 am. Jake finally made it to the hospital at 1:00. I didn't have any bags packed since I still thought we had over 2 weeks. I was actually going to pack my bags that day! So Jake had to rush around getting everything together that we would need. He did a good job! I was very proud of him! Finally after a long 11 hours and a lot of hard work, Kade was born. He is perfect in every way!
