This weekend we made a trip to Kansas City to visit Jake's brother Steve and to watch his nephew Kyle play football. Kyle plays for a college in Nebraska, so we've never gotten to watch him play before. But they came to Kansas City this year, so the drive wasn't too far. Kade really enjoyed watching the football game and was very good. I figured he'd get restless, but he did really well. He did get mad a little because he wanted to play football! He also got a megaphone while we were at the game and loved yelling "Go Tigers Go" throughout the game. It was really cute! While we were at Uncle Steve's, Kade also discovered the Wii. His favorite was bowling. All the way home he cried to go back to Uncle Steve's house because he wanted to play bowling!

At the Park
Tonight Kade asked me if I would take him to swing at the park. So I took him to the elementary playground, and we had a lot of fun. He enjoyed swinging and sliding.

Bowling Fun
Today for our family outing we took Kade bowling for the first time. He loved it! It was a lot of fun. We'll definitely have to take him back again soon. He kept saying, "I did it!", every time he'd knock down pins. It was so cute!

26 Week Checkup
Today was my 26 week checkup. I had to do the one hour glucose test. Drinking 10 oz. of orange "stuff" in less than 5 minutes isn't my idea of fun! After drinking the "stuff", I headed to see my doctor while I waited the one hour. It was a quick and easy checkup. My vitals were all good, and I've gained 21 pounds now. Kolt's heart beat was in the 140's today and sounded real good. Dr. Stout said things seem to be great! She told me that she'd call me this afternoon if there seemed to be any problems with my glucose test, but if I didn't hear from her, everything was okay. I never heard from her, so that must mean I'm in the clear! I go back in 4 weeks for my next checkup. I am 25 weeks and 6 days pregnant today. Only about 3 months to go! Oh, and we've decided on his full name, Kolt Asher!

Chuck E Cheese
Today Jake, Kade and I went to my cousin's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Kade had never been there before, and he loved it! He really enjoyed playing all the games and picking out prizes at the end with his tickets. We will definitely have to take him back!
Daddy, Mommy & Kade in the picture booth. Daddy didn't think he was in the picture, so he wasn't exactly ready! Kade knew what to do though! I forgot my camera today, so these are the only pictures I got.
Here Kade is riding in a car with Chuck E Cheese. The ride actually took a picture for us. Kade didn't seem to mind Chuck E Cheese here at all, but when he came out for the birthday party, Kade didn't like that one bit. We weren't surprised! We all really enjoyed ourselves today and had a good time!

Jesus Loves Me
Kade loves to sing, and he is learning new songs everyday! He's really good at singing Jesus Loves Me, so I wanted to capture it on video. But of course when I pulled out the camera he couldn't sit still! He started out pretty good but then was pretty wiggly. So I'll have to try again soon. But I thought his song was still pretty cute!

Children's Museum
Today my mom took Kade and me to the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole. We had never been there before, and it was a lot of fun! Kade loved it so much and has continued to ask to go back numerous times. His very favorite thing was riding the yellow train that went around their grounds. I bet no one could have guessed that, since trains are his favorite thing! We got to the museum about 12:45 and stayed until around 4:30. Kade didn't want to leave, but we were all worn out! We are already planning to go back again. I would highly recommend visiting the museum if you have not before.
Here Kade is flying an airplane. It had controls where he could make himself go up and down in the plane.
Here Kade is in the cockpit of a real airplane. He thought it was neat to steer and push all the buttons.
Mommy & Kade driving the Model T car. I asked Kade if he was going to take me for a ride, and he said, "It's not real, Mom." They learn so fast!
Sliding at the fire station. There was a fire pole, but he was a little small for that. He'd rather go down the slide anyway! This was also one of his favorites.
Kade at school. He enjoyed drawing on the chalkboard and told me he was drawing the sun. It was round and even had rays! I was impressed.

Family Night
Tonight we had family night! We decided to take Kade to Honor Heights Park to play at the splash pad. He played in the water, but mostly enjoyed sliding and swinging. We also got to see lots of ducks and geese. After leaving the park, we picked up some dinner and headed home to watch a movie. We decided on Horton Hears A Who. It was really cute, and Kade sat still through most of the movie! And of course we had popcorn. That's one of Kade's favorite foods. It was a nice fun filled evening!

To The Splash Pad
Kade and Martin are good buddies! So sweet!Kade and I had fun today at the splash pad. We met my friend Rachael and her son Martin, and my friend Noel and her daughters Araya and Kaya. Kade played and played in the water. Then we stopped to eat our picnic lunch, and the kids went back to playing in the water again. When it was time to go Kade said, "I had fun Momma." That makes it all worth it!

22 Week Checkup
I had a checkup today. Everything went really well. I got the results from my ultrasound and blood work from last time. Dr. Stout told me that everything they saw from the ultrasound looked good, and all the blood work was normal. The blood test was to check Kolt for Down's Syndrome and two other diseases. So he seems to be very healthy! I have gained a total of 14 pounds now. I gained 7 pounds in the first 18 weeks and 7 more pounds in the last 4 weeks! Kolt must be hitting a growth spurt! I got to hear his heart beat again. It was in the 130's, just as I expected. Kolt has been very active in the past few weeks. He is always moving and kicking, especially at night time. I think he's on the same schedule Kade was, sleeping all day and up all night. Hope that changes when he's born! :) (Not counting on it). Jake finally felt him moving last week! I go back in 4 weeks for my next checkup, which includes the one hour diabetes test. I am 21 weeks and 6 days pregnant today.

Water Boy
Today we went to my cousin Drew's birthday party. He had a pool party, so Kade got to swim again. He has been a little water shy recently, because he's scared to get water in his eyes and nose. But today Daddy and Bubba were able to get him to come all the way into the pool. He usually just likes to sit on the steps. Daddy even got him to swim by himself a little with his floaties!
