Kade has his first accident while walking today. He was playing around our t.v. stand with his big firetruck and tripped. He fell right into the t.v. stand and hit his cheek. It even started bleeding and bruised immediately, not to mention the whelp too. I had to console him for a few minutes, and then he was ready to get back down and go again. I'm sure this is just the first of many.
This evening we took Kade to his first costume party at our friends Joel & Teresa's house. He seemed to have fun and didn't mind wearing his costume too much. We weren't sure if he'd like it or not with the shark teeth coming over his head. But it was alright!
We were so excited for Kade to wear his costume this year! I just loved it! We couldn't pass by him being a shark.

Kade started walking today. He has been taking steps for a while, but he would never let go of the furniture. And this evening he finally decided that he'd just take off across the living room. It is so weird to see him walking after all this time of him just crawling! Now he's definitely a big boy and not a little baby anymore. :( Tonight we had so much fun with him. Jake got on one side of the living room, and I got on the other, and we just had Kade walk back and forth between us. He would just laugh! Also his new height and weight were taken right after his birthday on October 4. He weighed 23 lbs. 13 oz. and was 31 inches long.
Here Kade was giving Mommy kisses. I taught him how to give kisses one night about 2 months ago but just hadn't gotten any pictures of him doing it until now. All you have to say is "Give Mommy a kiss" and he opens his mouth and leans toward you. I just love his kisses!
Here Kade is playing in his new ball pit that Daddy & Mommy got him for his birthday. He has so much fun playing in it!
Daddy & Uncle Bryan were trying to bury Kade underneath all the balls. 
Kade and Uncle Bryan like to play in the ball pit together. Kade just cracks up when Bryan gets in the balls with him.
Kade went to his first circus on Sunday. He had a lot of fun except for getting his picture taken with the clown, as you can see! His favorite things were the elephants and the guys riding motorcycles in the round cage. We are already looking forward to going back next year!

Jake was eating a snack, and Kade and Boomer both went over and started begging for food. It was so funny to see them both standing at the edge of the couch begging!
While we were watching the OU game, Kade was playing and dug his hooded towel out of the laundry basket. So we put it on his head thinking he would pull it right off, but he ended up wearing it around the house the rest of the night. We thought it was pretty funny!
Mmm...chocolate!! Aunt Holly brought Kade a whole bag of chocolate covered animal crackers from her trip to Missouri. He loved them as you can see! He made a huge mess and then got mad when he had to get cleaned up. 
Now Kade has discovered that he can take a big drink of his milk or juice and just open his mouth and let it all spill out. He makes such a mess and gets himself soaked. But he thinks it's the funniest thing!
Kade has figured out that he can drink out of his cup without having to hold onto it. He was having great fun here doing that.
Kade has gotten down the whole idea of smiling for the camera. I guess I've taken so many pictures of him that he can't help but smile now! Here I was saying "Smile Kade", and he just gave me the biggest grins!
Here is Kade on game day wearing his OU Sooners jersey and playing with his OU football. He enjoys hanging out with our friends that come over to watch the game with us every Saturday. His favorite song is Boomer Sooner! I'm sure you wouldn't have guessed that. Every time he hears that song he starts smiling and dancing. It is the cutest thing!
Isn't this the look of a little boy who is about to do something onery? He can make some of the silliest little faces. 
Kade has started standing a lot better. He doesn't like to let go of things for very long, but he can keep his balance pretty well even without holding on to anything. He just doesn't know it yet. Here he is waving at the camera.
Here is Kade with his Papa Ron, Jake's dad. I was sick today, so Kade and I stayed home, and Papa came to visit us. Kade really likes sitting with his Papa, especially at church. He just grins everytime he sees him!
