11 Weeks 4 Days

So here's a belly pic. It's not a great picture, but you can see the belly! I was home by myself trying to take a picture, and the highest thing to set my camera on was the dining room table. So that's why I don't have a head! I'm 11 weeks 4 days in this picture. Almost 12 weeks!!

Here Comes the Easter Bunny

Here is a quick picture of Kade with his bunny ears on that Aunt Holly got him. He didn't want to cooperate, so the picture's not the greatest. I was just happy to get him to put the ears on!

Church Egg Hunt

Our church had an Easter egg hunt today. It was a lot of fun! They had a blow up thing the kids could bounce in, which Kade was begging to get into when we drove up. But when I took him to get in it, he got upset and wouldn't get in. The Easter bunny was there too. Here's a picture of Kade hunting eggs.

Baby Chicks

Our friend Noel got some baby chicks to use for Easter pictures, so the kids got to play with them Friday night after the pictures were all done. Here Kaya & Kade are playing with the chicks. They weren't very interested in the camera though.

9 Week Checkup

Today I had my second checkup. I will be 9 weeks on Friday and have already gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks. I didn't gain weight that fast with Kade. I also can't fit into quite a few of my clothes and am having to wear several of my maternity pants already. I had blood work done today and had to fill out paperwork. They just told me what to expect at each of my upcoming visits and gave me a due date today of November 13. I go back for another checkup in 4 weeks and will get to hear the heart beat. I'm really looking forward to that!

Easter Egg Hunt

This evening we went over to our friends, the Stricklands, to have a cook out and Easter egg hunt for our kids. The kids had a great time!

Here is Kade hunting eggs. He did a good job of finding them. He was running all over the yard calling out the colors of the eggs! At first he wanted to open each egg as he found it, because he wanted to see what was inside each one. I finally convinced him to hunt the eggs first and then open them all!

Kade's The Big Brother

Today I had my first doctor's appointment. I am 6 weeks pregnant. All they did today at my appointment was have me take a pregnancy test, tell me that I am pregnant and gave me a due date of November 11. I also had to get my prenatal and iron vitamins. We've told Kade that he's going to be a big brother, and that there's a baby in Mommy's tummy. He says he wants a baby brother. The other night we were eating dinner and Kade said, "Mommy, the baby's eating." I told him yes, the baby was eating. Then he said, "Come out baby!" I had to explain to him that it would be a long time before the baby would come out. :)

Mall...Fishies

Kade woke up from his nap this evening, and the first thing he said was that he wanted to go to the Mall to see the fishies. So of course, we took him! Here he is sliding on the alligator slide.

Happy Birthday Daddy, Papa & Aunt Holly

Tonight we went over to Jake's parents' house to have a birthday dinner for Jake, his dad, and his sister. Jake's birthday is today, his dad's is Wed. and Holly's is next Sunday. Kade was a little upset that it wasn't his birthday! He kept saying "Kade's birthday!"

He was happy to blow out the candles on the cake though!

He wasn't interested in pictures at the moment though. He was trying to stick his hand in the cake! He had been waiting for the cake all day. When you say there's going to be a birthday party, he automatically knows there's going to be cake involved!

Good Times With Dad

Since I'm coaching soccer and am not home as much as I used to, Daddy & Kade have been spending more time together. Here are a couple pics of them playing in the floor.

Buddies Even When They're Sleeping

Last night we went over to Chad & Noel's house. The guys went to play pool, so the girls were up late at their house with the kids. Kade and Martin both fell asleep, so we layed them down on a pallet together on the floor. Kade rolled over after a little while and put his hand on top of Martin's head. We thought it was so funny we had to take a picture of them curled up together.

I'm glad Kade decided to be nice to Martin while they were sleeping, because he wasn't too nice when they were awake. Kade grabbed Martin's face, on both cheeks, leaving scratch marks on him, and then bit him on the forehead. Poor Martin!

Bubble Bath

Jeanie kept Kade today, and he decided that he wanted to take a bubble bath in the big bathtub when he got there.

She said he used to be scared of the jets, but he wasn't today. He liked them.

The bubbles almost cover his head!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jake and I didn't spend Valentine's Day with Kade this year. We went to Oklahoma City Saturday morning, spent the night and came back on Sunday. Here we are at Spaghetti Warehouse eating dinner Saturday night.

Here we are on our carriage ride through Brick Town after dinner. It was really cold! The temperature was only in the thirties. But it was still fun! We had a nice weekend away, but it was good to get back and see Kade.

I Wake Up!

Last night when I put Kade to bed, I told him that when he woke up it would be time for Bible Class. Then I put him to bed, and Jake and I stayed up to watch a movie. After our movie, I noticed that Kade's light was on in his bedroom. So I opened the door to see what was going on. He was sitting in his floor playing with his train. When I opened the door I asked, "What are you doing up?" He said, "I wake up Mom. Bible Class!" So he was ready to go to Bible Class Saturday night at 10:30. He loves his Bible Class!
