Fun at the Park

I took Kade to play at the park this afternoon. Here are a few of the pictures I took while we were there.
Here he is picking a flower for Mommy. He's so sweet! He was so proud to bring me the flower after he picked it.
Here he is driving the race car. I couldn't get him to even look at me. He was having too much fun!
Now he's flying the plane. I think this was his favorite. The plane bounces around, and he really liked that.
He especially liked getting off and on the airplane. Look how big he is. He looks all grown up!

A Little Climber

Kade is really liking to climb on things now. He is all the time trying to climb on anything he can. He is just getting tall enough to climb onto the chairs and couches and really thinks he's something!

Outside at Grammy & Papa's

We went over to Grammy & Papa's house tonight for dinner. Kade had fun playing outside before we ate. Here he is swinging. The fun didn't last long, because he wanted out of the swing almost immediately!
He loves to just run through the grass.
Mommy & Kade outside sporting our new haircuts
Kade fell down and got grass on his hands. For some reason he doesn't like that at all. So I was trying to show him how to brush his hands off. He thought that was funny!
Here we are visiting the mule in the pasture. Kade was very interested in the mule, but the mule was very leery of us and would hardly come over to the fence. Kade never did get to touch him.

Our Family

Today we went over to Jake's parents' house to have a birthday lunch for his mom. Here are a couple pictures of our family after lunch.
I'm surprised we could get Kade still for long enough to get the pictures!

Our American Idol

Jake & I have found the next American Idol! We have the American Idol Karaoke game on Jake's XBox 360. Kade loves to sing into the microphone. We will tell him to sing, and he'll put the microphone up to his mouth and say AHHH!! It is so cute!

Couldn't Resist

My two boys are just so cute that I couldn't resist posting this picture! We took Kade to the park in town tonight. I forgot my camera though, so I'll have to get pics next time we go. He really liked to swing as long as he was on Daddy's lap. I think his favorite thing was just running around through the grass!

Brusha Brusha Brusha

Kade is really liking to brush his teeth here recently. I got him a new toothbrush and toothpaste a couple days ago. He really likes to lick the toothpaste off the toothbrush more than anything. But at least he is excited about brushing his teeth!

Another cheese face!

Kade & His Easter Bunny

I finally got a picture of Kade with his Easter bunny from Grammy & Papa. He was being a little stinker while I was trying to take pictures! This is his newest face when I tell him to say cheese! He grins really big and squints his eyes.

Kade Loves Dada

Kade loves to crawl up in Dada's lap and sit in his chair with him. His new favorite word is Dada. He says it all the time. He'll say Dada and run through the house looking for him. Then when he sees him, he gets so excited and runs to him. They are such good friends!

Kade and His Otter

Kade got a stuffed otter for Easter from our friends Randall and Tricia. Daddy & Kade were playing with it tonight, and I caught a quick picture. Kade would carry the otter over to Dad who was sitting in his chair, throw it at him, and back all the way from Dad's chair to the kitchen gate. Then Daddy would throw the otter back to Kade, and they'd do it all over again. They were having a lot of fun!

Has Anyone Noticed?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed that our son loves to eat! I was just looking at my last few posts, and they are all about him eating. It's true! He loves his food.

Grape Jelly

We went to eat at the Boomerang for dinner tonight with Grammy and Papa. We gave Kade a piece of toast, which he normally likes, but he wouldn't eat it. So Grammy thought Kade would eat the toast if she put jelly on it. She put grape jelly all over the toast and instead of Kade eating the toast, he just licked the jelly off of it. He had jelly all over his face from his nose to his chin! It was so funny. He was cracking us up!

Spaghetti Face

We had spaghetti and toast for dinner tonight, and Kade had the best time eating. He made such a big mess! But he loved the spaghetti. Pasta is one of his favorite foods, of course he picks the messiest! After dinner I took him straight to the bath tub.

Kade Blowing Me Kisses

I finally got a picture of Kade blowing me a kiss. I just love how he does it! You just have to say "blow me a kiss", and he kisses the back of his hand and throws it towards you. Then he just laughs and laughs! He knows he is very entertaining.

Kade Eating Oreos

Here is Kade eating his first Oreos. He loved them and made a nice little mess! He was having so much fun!!

Kade Eating Sherbet and Talking To Grammy

Here Kade is eating his weekly sherbet that Jeanie gives him when he comes over to her house.
Kade is "talking" to Grammy here. Now he'll hold the phone up to his ear and listen to whatever is being said, but he won't say anything. He justs listens for a really long time!
Look at that mouth!
He is such a silly little boy!!

Outside

While Kade was at Jeanie's house today he got to play outside, since it was so warm. He had a lot of fun playing with the gazing ball but thought it was a ball he could bounce! His favorite thing to do was go over to the step, jump off, climb back up and do it over and over again! He loves outside and cries when we have to come back in. He is going to be my little outside boy!

Mommy & Kade

We got Kade a Spiderman couch that folds out into a bed. Here we are laying on his bed together having some fun! He likes to fold it out into the bed, back all the way up, then run full speed and just dive on it. It is so funny!

Today was Easter. We went to church, and then went to eat lunch at Jake's parent's house to celebrate Easter and Holly's birthday. We planned to hide eggs at our house before lunch, but it was too cold to get Kade outside.

Easter Sunday

Here's a picture of Kade and me after church on Sunday morning getting ready to eat lunch at Papa and Grandma's house.

Happy Easter

We took Kade Easter egg hunting today at Hatbox field. He was on the field for 1-2 year olds. He threw a huge fit before we started hunting, because he could see all the eggs and wanted down to get them so bad! Then when we let him go, he went right up to an egg, picked it up, and threw it. I guess he thought they were balls! He ended up getting 2 eggs by himself and put them in his basket, and we helped him with the rest.

What Kade Likes and Can Do

So I thought I'd post some things that Kade is doing right now and things he likes. He can say Momma (which he hardly ever says), Dadda, Dad, Booma (Boomer), Bu (Uncle Bryan), dog, down, no-no, whoa, juice (which comes out ssss), and he barks (ru, ru, ru). He waves bye-bye and sometimes say bye. He also gives good kisses. When you tell him to give someone kisses, he leans over and opens his mouth. He really likes dogs and tells them all no-no and down. If he hears a dog bark, he automatically starts barking in his little high pitched voice. He loves to go outside and stands at the front door and cries until you take him out. If he hears us say it is cold outside, he will get his ear warmers out of the drawer by the front door and bring them to you to put on him so he can still go outside! Aren't they so smart? He likes to talk on the phone, although he never says anything. He just listens. Then when we take the phone away to hang up, he cries. He really likes balls and will pretty much throw anything, so watch out! He loves driving cars around the living room and will make engine sounds sometimes. He especially loves any kind of music. He dances to all of it! If it's on TV, or Daddy's IPOD, or the radio while driving down the road, he's always bobbing his head or kicking his feet. It's so cute! He enjoys coloring but would rather eat the markers and likes to read, but I can hardly read any pages because he wants to be in control of turning the pages. He really likes to be in control of everything, and if he doesn't get his way, we're in for a major fit. He's also recently started singing. Last night he crawled up into the rocking chair in his room and just started singing so sweetly. Tonight he just learned how to blow kisses. I was tucking him into bed and told him I was going to blow him a kiss. Then I kissed the palm of my hand and blew it to him. Then he kissed the back of his fist and blew it to me. It is just so amazing what they can pick up in a second! So I'll have to practice some more with him tomorrow where he gets good at it and can do it on command. He now has 14 teeth and at least one more on the way and is eating pretty much everything. His favorites are potatoes any way you fix them, but especially mashed and bread. He also loves the little meat sticks that look like Vienna sausages. So I hope you enjoy the update on Kade. If I forgot something, I will add it later.

Happy Birthday Daddy

We had a family birthday party for Daddy today at Jake's parent's house. Kade especially loved the birthday cupcakes! He just kept saying his famous WHOA! It is so cute when he says that. I love it!!

Tired Little Boy

This evening Kade was taking a later nap, so Jake and I went in to wake him up so he would go to bed at a decent hour. He was so tired, we had a hard time getting him awake. We were talking to him and rubbing on his back. He wasn't budging. So I decided to take a few pictures of our little sleepy head!
