Kade's Famous Fit

This is what my child does when he doesn't get his way! He is getting really good at it too. If you take something away from him or don't let him get a hold of something that he wants, he automatically goes into fit mode. He will do the pouty lip, start crying, and throw his head back. He was mad here because I was trying to take a picture of him and me, and I wouldn't let him grab my camera. What a face!

Break Dancing Baby

This is one of his newest things to do. He will put both hands down on the floor and get up on his feet, sticking his booty up in the air. He looks like he's trying to break dance!

Shoe Fetish

Well it looks like Kade already has a shoe fetish. But I guess that's to be expected with the way Jake and I are about shoes! Kade crawls around the living room floor and gets a hold of any shoes he can find. I guess you could say we are two proud parents! We've taught him well.

Ready For My Close Up

Here you can see Kade's new teeth! He has realized that he likes my camera and has started coming after it when I try to take a picture of him. Then he gets mad and throws a fit when I don't let him have it. I love those blue eyes!
He has been pretty fussy lately with all of his teeth cutting. He was running fever from Thursday night until Saturday morning, so I stayed home with him on Friday. He's doing much better this week though, so I'm glad about that!

Just Relaxing

This is how I found Kade sleeping when I went in to check on him. I couldn't help but take a picture. I thought it was so cute how he had his arms behind his head! He even poses in his sleep!

More Teeth

Kade has another tooth. Now he has two teeth, both on bottom. The left one poked through yesterday. So in 6 days, he has gotten both of his teeth. I'm sure it won't be long before he has more.

Kade Has Discovered His Tongue

I didn't think little boys were supposed to stick their tongue's out at their moms! He has been doing this a lot lately. It seems like he's always got his tongue out. I don't know if he likes feeling his new tooth or what.

Reading at 8 Months

Kade stayed in the floor "reading" for a long time tonight. He was just being so cute I couldn't help but take his picture!

Kade is Crawling

Kade is finally really crawling. He has been belly crawling for about a month now but started actually crawling on his hands and knees really well this past weekend.
Every once in a while he will have to stop and take a break to catch his breath!

Mischievous Boy

This morning while I was getting ready for work, I put Kade in his exersaucer so he couldn't get into anything, and I'd know he was safe. I kept hearing him cough and didn't think anything about it. When I walked through the living room, I noticed that Kade had a bag of sunflower seeds. He had managed, while in his exersaucer, to reach up on the table between mine and Jake's chairs and grab the bag. He had dumped the whole bag out and was eating them when I found him. So that's why he was coughing! I guess we'll have to be more careful even though he's only crawling!

We Have A Tooth!

Kade finally got his first tooth! We were beginning to wonder. It has just poked through the skin, so you can't really see it very good yet. But you can sure feel it. I noticed it Saturday when we were at Wal-Mart. Kade grabbed my finger to chew on while I was pushing the buggy, and I felt something awfully sharp. Sure enough, there is a little tooth poking through.

Bath Time

Kade is liking his bath time a lot better than before. As long as there are bubbles in his tub, he will let me give him a bath without crying. Here he got a little wild splashing and got water in his face. He didn't like that too much and was ready to get out after that!

Kade's First Movie

Thursday Kade & I went on an outing with some other moms and kids from our young families class from church. We went to Kade's first movie, The Ant Bully. It was really cute. Kade watched it for a little while, and then he didn't seem too interested. But he did really well. He just sat on my lap, drank his juice, and played with his toys. He did swipe a few Nerds from Reece who was sitting next to us though! After the movie we went to the splash park to play in the water. Kade loved that! The wind was really blowing, and every time it would blow in his face he would just laugh. I sat him down at a little fountain of water. He kept bending over trying to grab the water, and he bent a little too far and got water in his face. He didn't like that at all! But as long as the water didn't get in his face, he was having a great time! Here he was playing with our friend Crystal at the splash park.

Kade At The Beach

Here are Kade's newest professional pictures. He was smiling so good at first, and then Noel and I tried to get him to take a picture with the frog floatie. I guess it made him off balance, and he fell over hitting his head on the sand castle. It was hard and scratched his head. After that he was done with the picture taking! But we managed to get some pretty darn cute pictures!

Laying on Mom's Pillow

After Kade woke up on Saturday, he was playing on the bed. I was trying my hardest to get him to smile for a picture, but he wouldn't do it. Then the second his dad walked into the room he started cheesing from ear to ear! Kade thought it would be fun to lay on mom's pillow while posing for the camera.

Photo Contest

Kade is in his first photo contest! I entered him at the Sear's Portrait Studio. Everyone needs to go vote for him! We will find out in a couple weeks who wins. Maybe it will be us!

Kade's Second Wedding

Here we are at my cousin Brooke's wedding. We spent the weekend in Little Rock and had a good time.

Renaissance Fair

Here is a pictures of Kade with Mom at the Renaissance Fair. It was pirate day, so we got a picture with a real life pirate! Kade just couldn't stop looking at all the neat stuff on his pirate costume.
Here Kade and Dad are having a good time while walking around at the Renaissance Fair. Kade really liked everything except the joust. The crowd was getting loud and cheering on the jousters, and Kade got scared and started crying. Other than that, we had a smooth day!

We went to the Renaissance Fair today. It was our first time to go. We had fun! Kade also enjoyed it! As soon as Jake put Kade's head through the cutout, he just started laughing out loud. He was really having fun!

Getting Ready For Bed

Here I was getting Kade ready for bed. He had just gotten out of the bath. I just love those big blue eyes!
This face cracks me up! I wonder what he's thinking?

Playing With Carrots

Here Kade is having fun making a mess with his carrots! I started him eating baby food other than cereal about a week ago. His favorites are carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, applesauce, pears and peaches. We tried peas once, and that won't happen again for a long time! He absolutely doesn't like them. He was spitting them out as fast as I could spoon them into his mouth. Then the little bit that got into his stomach came back up a little while later. I guess I shouldn't feed him things I won't eat!!

Kade is Sitting By Himself

Kade has finally decided to sit up by himself. He could have done it a while back, but he never wants to sit down. He would always just get mad when you put him down in the floor. I guess he realized it's not so bad after all!

Playing In The Floor

Here is Kade rolling around on the floor playing with his blocks. He rolls all across the room. He hasn't started crawling yet, just rolling. That will come soon enough I'm sure!

6 Month Checkup

Kade had his 6 month checkup on Thursday. He weighed 22 lbs. 5 oz and was 27 inches long. This was his 6 month checkup, but it was actually 2 days before he turned 7 months. Look how big those legs are! They say that at 7 months, most babies are 2 1/2 times their birth weight. Kade is 3 times his birth weight!

Our Morning Ritual

In the mornings Kade and I get up. He eats and gets changed and then swings and watches cartoons while I get ready for work. A lot of mornings when I come back into the living room after getting ready, he has fallen back asleep in his swing. He really loves his swing!

Kade Playing

Kade was playing in his pack n' play. He was having a good time until he noticed that I had walked out of the room.
Then he started crying. When I walked back in the room, he stopped crying but was still pouting until I picked him up. He's good at that!
