Happy Boy

While I was getting ready for work, Kade was hanging out in the living room watching cartoons while in his carrier. He's such a happy boy!

Silly Kade

Here I was changing Kade's clothes and got his shirt stuck! I just had to take a picture!
Grammy brought Kade an Easter bunny that sings, and his ears move back and forth. Here he was playing with the bunny.

Kade's First Easter

Here is Kade before church on his first Easter in his new Easter outfit. He had a camouflage Easter basket with camo Easter eggs. We didn't hunt eggs this year. It was too cold to get Kade outside.
Here he is after church wearing his Easter bib with his new bear that he got from his Bible class teacher. He was in a better mood than this morning. I couldn't get him to smile when he was in his dress clothes, of course!

Kade Sitting

Kade is learning how to sit by himself. He sits really well with support and pretty well by himself. His belly gets in the way sometimes though! Here he is sitting in my recliner.
Kade was in a really good mood today. He was just laughing out loud the whole time I was taking his pictures!

Almost Crawling

Kade is getting close to crawling. He will get up on his elbows all the time and his knees sometimes. He's rolling all over the floor right now though. He can already get into things since he can roll everywhere.
He's getting pretty nosy and always wants to know what's going on. Here he is being nosy with the camera!

Kade In His Highchair

Here is a picture of Kade's first highchair feeding. This was the first time I really fed him anything besides breast milk. I started him out on baby cereal. He really likes it and looks like a little bird opening his mouth in anticipation of each bite!
Here he is making a bit of a mess all over his face! At first he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with the cereal. As fast as I could spoon it into his mouth, he was spitting it back out.
Once he got the hang of it though, he has done real well eating from his spoon.

Kade's Silly Tricks

Since Kade is teething, he really likes to chew on his pacifier. He turns it like that without even using his hands!
He also likes to cross his ankles all the time. I can't keep shoes and socks on him, because he crosses his feet and kicks his shoes off. Then he'll roll his socks off. So I've given up on shoes until he learns how to walk.

I Want To Be Like Uncle Bryan

Here's our future Tumble In delivery man! I think Uncle Bryan is rubbing off on Kade a little bit. Does that look seem familiar? I've had several people tell me that they think Kade looks like Bryan. I really thought that when he was first born!

SMILE!

Kade just loves to smile all the time! Jake & I enjoy watching him play and smile. He's so much fun! Here he was playing on his play mat.
Kade realized he can flip the bar of his pacifier up above his nose. It doesn't bother him at all. He will just leave it up there for a long time. Jake & I will just laugh at him!

Here are a couple of current pictures of Kade with Mom and Dad. We played in the floor a little while this evening when Jake & I got home from work. Kade is really starting to have fun playing! We are having so much fun with him!

Kade's 4 Month Checkup

Kade had his 4 month checkup today with his second set of shots. He turned 5 months old yesterday, so we were a month behind. This was the soonest I could get him in for his checkup. His doctor checked his bronchiolitis, and he is doing much better. He is feeling well now, and I am so glad! It has only been a week since he was weighed and measured, and today Kade weighed 19 lbs., 4 0z. and was 25 inches long. So supposedly he has gained 12 oz. in one week! But the nurses said he probably had a pounder diaper on. We had been waiting for quite a while, and I hadn't been able to change him!

Kade is Sick

Kade has his first sickness. He started getting a cough and runny nose on Saturday evening. His cough has been pretty bad. At first I just thought he had a little cold to go along with his teething. So I wasn't too worried about him. He ran a little fever off and on from Saturday night until Tuesday. So I stayed home with him. He just wanted to sit in my lap all day long. I feel so bad for him. I can tell he's in pain, and I don't like it. Wednesday his fever was gone, and he seemed to be feeling better. So I went ahead and went to work. But by today he was running fever again, and I could tell he was feeling bad again. Jake and I decided since his symptoms weren't getting any better, we had better take him to the doctor. So we did that today. We found out he has bronchiolitis. It's nothing serious, so we're thankful for that. His bronchial tubes are swollen which is why he's coughing. He should be better within 3-4 days. His doctor told us to do breathing treatments with Kade to see if that would help him. Otherwise he just needs time to get better. I will be so glad when he's well! Needless to say, we haven't had much sleep around our house lately. Oh, Kade now weighs 18 lbs., 7 oz. and is 25 inches long. He is now 21 weeks old and will be 5 months old on Wednesday. Time sure flies by!

Picture Time Again!

Kade had new professional pictures taken again today. Our good friend Noel is a photographer at Sear's. She takes all of Kade's pictures. She does so well with him!

Kade's First Valentine's Day

Today is Kade's very first Valentine's Day! He got $5, a Valentine's balloon, a sucker, and a stuffed puppy dog. He really liked the sucker! Don't worry. I only gave him a little bit!

Teething

Kade started cutting his first tooth this week. It is his bottom left tooth. It has just barely poked through his skin. He has been pretty fussy lately, along with a lot of slobbering and chewing on things. He especially likes to chew on mine and Jake's fingers.

Kade is 4 1/2 months old now. He hasn't quite got down his balance yet, but he is sitting up well with support. So Jake and I decided he was big enough now to take him to Bible class. So this past Sunday was his first time in his own Bible class. He's the youngest one in his class right now. When we came to pick him up from class, we found out he pretty much slept all the way through it! That's ok. We'll try again soon!

Sweet Dreams

Jake watches Kade 3 nights a week while I go to class. This is how I found Kade when I got home from class on Tuesday night. Daddy must do a good job!

Big Boy!

Kade is getting to be such a big boy now. He is actually playing and interacting with his toys now. He has started walking around in his Exer Saucer too. He figures something new out everyday I think!

Playing with Dad

Jake was sitting in his chair holding Kade. He was letting Kade stand up, and then he started flying him around. Kade loved it! And I was capturing every moment of it on camera!

Grinny Boy!

I just love this smile! Dad calls Kade grinny boy when he's in his smiling mood.

Watching Basketball

Kade and Dad were watching college basketball. Kade loves watching basketball! I was trying to get his attention to take his picture, and he got mad at me for taking him away from his game. So he was giving me the evil eye!

Bundled Boy

Kade got bundled up to go out during the ice storm. We couldn't find his mittens, so we put socks on his hands! He didn't like it at all and cried all the way to Tom's house, where we were going to eat dinner.

New Exer Saucer

Kade got a new Exer Saucer with his Christmas money. He really likes to play in it! His favorite thing now is being able to stand, so this comes in handy.

Thumb Sucking

Kade really likes to suck his thumb. Here he was swinging and fell asleep sucking his thumb. I thought it was really funny how he was still holding onto his mouth even though he was asleep!

Tater Tot!

These pictures were taken on New Year's Eve. I was getting ready for church, and Kade was laying on the bed in such a good mood. I kept running over and taking pictures of him. He is wearing his tater tot shirt. I think it's a pretty fitting shirt! Although it might be a little more fitting if it said butterball or roley poley!!

Kade's First Christmas

Kade was a litte tired after all the Christmas festivities! But he had an overall good day! He liked all his presents!!

Kade Likes Music

Kade was being a little fussy, so Jake got out his guitar and played for him and sang him some songs. Kade really liked it and was very intent on his daddy.

One Tired Boy
