Happy 3rd Birthday Kade!

Today is Kade's actual birthday. I can't believe my baby is 3 years old! It sure goes by fast!! Let's take a trip down memory lane!

Kade's 3rd Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Kade's 3rd birthday! We had his party at the McDonald's Play Place. Eight of his friends came, along with lots of family members. Kade had never been to the Play Place before, and he loved it! We knew he would. He enjoyed eating a Happy Meal, playing in the Play Place, eating cake and opening presents. What more could you ask for!

Everyone started singing Happy Birthday to him, and he got upset. I think it embarrassed him. He takes after his Mom just a little bit! Then he didn't want to have anything to do with blowing out his candles.

All he wanted was Mommy then. Poor baby!

I was able to get him calmed down and coaxed him back to the cake.

Here he is finally blowing out his candles!

Time to open presents. I'm sure that was his favorite part!

Here he is finally getting to open his Thomas Legos from Mommy and Daddy. He found the sack at home right before we were leaving for his party, peeked in, and saw that he had something Thomas in there. Then he got upset when we told him he'd have to wait and open it at McDonald's. So the whole time we were at the party, he kept asking when he could open his blue sack with his Thomas in it!
More presents!

Kade saying, "Ooh!" It was another Thomas the Train.

Kade is also getting a new big boy bed for his birthday. His grandparents and great-grandparents are all going in to get it for him. So the crib/toddler bed is going into Kolt's room, and Kade will have his very own twin bed now! After the party we went to the furniture store to pick it out. Kade really liked it! He climbed right up on it and layed down!

We had a lot of fun celebrating with our big 3 year old today!

Boomer Sooner & Thomas the Train

Kade really enjoys singing these days. His daddy has taught him how to sing Boomer Sooner. Here he is singing a little Boomer Sooner!

Kade loves Thomas the Train! He sings the theme song ALL the time, even at church! He is pretty excited in this video, so it's hard to understand him. Usually he sings it pretty clearly. I'll have to try to get another video of him singing it. Here are the lyrics. You may be able to make some of his singing out. "They're 2, they're 4, they're 6, they're 8, shunting trucks and hauling freight, red and green and brown and blue, they're the really useful crew, all with different roles to play, round Tidmouth Sheds or far away, down the hills and round the bends, Thomas and his friends."

Circus

This evening I took Kade to the circus in Muskogee. We met Chad, Noel, Araya & Kaya there. It was just a small circus, but Kade really enjoyed it. He especially had fun playing with the girls. He is still afraid of clowns though. After the circus I asked him what his favorite part was, and he said the elephants. They have always been one of his favorites at the circus!

32 Week Checkup

Today I had my 32 week checkup. My blood pressure was 96/63, and I've gained 24 pounds now. Kolt's heart beat was in the 130-140 bpm range. Dr. Stout says everything is looking good, and I'm measuring just perfect! Only 8 weeks to go! I go back for my next checkup in 2 weeks. I am 31 weeks 6 days pregnant today.

Happy Labor Day

Today was Labor Day, so Jake and I were both off work. We went out to the lake to have lunch with Jake's parents at their boat club, and after lunch, we took Kade out on the dock to do some fishing. He had his Sponge Bob fishing pole with his Plankton lure. This was the first time Kade has ever been fishing. He really loved it! He didn't catch anything just yet. We didn't put any bait or a hook on the pole. We just let him practice casting and reeling. He did really good! Plankton ended up falling off the end of the pole, so we had to explain to Kade that Plankton wanted to go swimming with the fish, and we couldn't get him back. He was okay with that, although he did keep asking us where Plankton was. After fishing, we took him out on Jake's uncle's boat for his first ever boat ride. He especially liked the boat ride! He kept saying, "It's really windy." After we left the lake, we went back to my grandma's house to do a little swimming in her pool and had a cook out over there with our friends Chad & Noel and their daughters Araya & Kaya. So overall we had a busy day, but it was filled with lots of fun things! We had a really good day!

Mowing with Papa

This afternoon after church Kade and I went to lunch with Mema and Papa while Daddy was working. After lunch, Kade wanted to go to their house to play for a little while. While he was there he got to help Papa mow the yard. That's one of his favorite things to do. He always helps Daddy mow here at home. He especially likes to drive the mower himself!

30 Week Checkup

Today was my 30 week checkup. My vitals were all good, my blood pressure was 107/71. I have gained 22 pounds now. I can't believe I've only gained 1 pound over the last month! Kolt's heart beat was in the 130-140 bpm range. Dr. Stout said I am measuring just right and everything looks great! I go back in 2 weeks. Only about 10 weeks to go! I am 29 weeks, 6 days today.

Here I am at 30 weeks, 4 days pregnant.

4D Ultrasound

Today we had our 4D ultrasound. It took a lot to get this ultrasound done! We were originally scheduled for Thursday. We showed up, and they told me that I had to be rescheduled because the tech had to go home. So we went back on Monday. Well, Monday Kolt decided to hide and sleep the whole time she was trying to do the ultrasound. She said he had his head down in my pelvis with his face turned back towards my spine. So she couldn't see anything. The only time we got him to move, he just went further down into hiding! So we went back again today, and I was hoping Kolt would cooperate. He had been moving a lot before we got there, so I was very hopeful! As soon as she started the ultrasound she said he was in a very good position and was moving around a lot so we should get a lot of really good shots. And we did! He kept trying to put his fist and fingers in his mouth the whole time, so she said we'd probably have to invest in some pacifiers. We also got to see him yawning a few times. His heart beat was 141 bpm, which is just right, and he measured 29 weeks 6 days. I am 29 weeks 5 days today, so he's exactly the right size. The tech said as long as he was measuring within 2 weeks that was really good. So he seems to be just perfect! It was great to get to see his little face, and I can't wait to meet him. We only have 72 more days!
